Create formal tracking of local businesses and farmers with activities along with contact information. With tracking determine frequency and need of communication and publication with media services.

Assist with free solicitation for new businesses along with Chamber of Commerce assistance with communications. Or consider a sponsorship discount as incentivizing the use of the guide.


Playbook Steps

  1. Determine what publicity is already being done.

  2. Promote the directory: on municipal website; social media like Facebook, twitter, YouTube and Flickr; in local newspapers, radio stations, cable access; through local listservs, etc.

  3. Provide in Community Submission copies and links of publications and recurring communications.
